After the glue dried it is time to plane the strips for strengtening to level with the frames. So that we can carry on to the next step
I cut the nose in the wrong angle and now I have to correct that mistake by gluing some Paulownia on top of the nose. If I wouldn’t correct it, the nose would have a funny kink.
And as I am at correcting mistakes I have to correct a frame where I used too less glue and so the strip came off while planing it.
The rest is now in level and at the right angel and we can proceed on.
The next step is to glue two layers of Paulownia on the sides to make the board very sturdy and stiff.
On the photo I have already glued one part of the side to the skeletton and I am already planing it down while the fresh glue dries.
This is the part, where you spend the most time waiting for the glue to harden.
Stay tuned, more to come!
