In the spirit of ecology, all our boards are made with as much manual work as possible. We only use machines where they make more sense and in our case that is the inner workings of the boards.
We also refrain from using plastic in our boards . So you will find the good old stainless steel inserts for mounting your foot straps. Even the fin box and the mast rail are made out of wood.
The foot pads are made of cork. Since cork is open-pored, it is the ideal natural material to guarantee a secure stand in the foot straps. It may not be quite as soft as you are used to from Neoprene- or EVA-pads, but it cushions your jumps just as well.
We don’t use paints. Nevertheless, the boards need protection. So we decided on a bio-epoxy resin with a vegetable content of >40%. Due to its honey coloring, it emphasizes the grain and the drawing even better.
